New York is a huge sprawling city
With Times Square
And Broadway,
A lively place for daily fun.

Shopping can be done.
Just go to Maceys
For bargains
Or visit Bloomingdales for quality.

Visit the Statue of Liberty Island
Or Ellis Island for history
By taking the ferry
And enjoying the many sights.

They say New York is the place to be,
If you love tall buildings
Like the Empire State Building,
Where you can go to the top,
Experience the amazing views,
Standing there feeling the wind.
And as you gaze out at the world
It can never be forgotten.

See the art galleries
Like the MOMA Museum of Art,
Or visit the American Museum of Natural History,
Where lions, tigers, and dinosaur exhibits gaze out and afar
Showing you how life can be a bazaar.

Take a walk in Central Park,
Where you can take a ride
In a horse carriage
Bringing you memories with friends,
A time to cherish in the future
When the days are bleak and spent.

Walk along the pathways
Feeling the coldness on your face,
As you breathe in the air of Central Park
With its many entrances
To get you lost.

You can even visit a famous train station
Like Grand Central,
Where you can visit the Whispering Corner.
Whisper away secretly to a friend
As they stand opposite you at the other end,
An interesting experiment to attend.

New York is a lively city,
Where you can see street entertainers
Dancing away or amusing us,
Talented performers itching to be noticed.

But do not forget to visit
The spot of Ground Zero,
The memorial of 9/11.
A tranquil place to pray
For those that were lost
In an unfortunate disaster,
In a place of memory and past
But never forgotten.

So, what are you waiting for?
Book a flight today,
And enjoy this fabulous city
By seeing its sights with a loved one
Or a friend.

Walk on the streets of New York
Until your feet are sore.
See the yellow cabs passing by
As you feel the wonder
Of New York City life glide on by.
